Berne's Organizational Theory

BOT is a model that addresses the scientific principles of the organization, and provides a systemic analysis to the implementation of interventions consistent with the observed level of problem.

This theory about the functioning of organized groups, developed by Bern in 1963, is consistently organized with the concepts of TA. It addresses both basic groups (a single meeting, family, team, ...) and the largest and most complex organizations (school, association, company, institution, organization, country ... ). It is a systemic tool for analysis and development of the human process towards collaboration and group performance in a win-win dynamics.

TOB provides both an analytical and comprehensive understanding of the functioning system of a group, company or organization. BOT identifies the key points that must be analyzed to understand the deeper issues of teams, select the possibilities of interventions based on the situations encountered and to implement actions to improve the functioning of the group.

Developed by Eric Berne, psychiatrist: he had noticed, when exercised in hospitals, that patients heal better in certain services or in some hospitals. Bern looks different groups cases to illustrate the treatment of dynamic and structural problems: lack of cohesion, unrealistic or too different imago of the leader between members, absenteeism, lack of motivation to the task, presenteeism, etc.
